NR Group("we", "us") operates the EMTOP Uganda ecommerce store. Our service and sales operations are based at Sixth Street, Industrial Area, Kampala, Uganda. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you browse, create an account, or place an order.

2. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely via our authentication provider).
• Order & delivery details — shipping address, district, preferred delivery method, and order history.
• Payment-related information — payment method chosen (e.g. MTN MoMo or Cash on Delivery), MoMo phone number, and transaction references. We do not store full mobile money PINs or card numbers on our servers.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies or similar technologies used to secure the Store (including bot protection such as Cloudflare Turnstile) and improve performance.
• Support communications — messages you send via contact forms, email, phone, or WhatsApp regarding orders, warranty, or service.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders across Kampala and upcountry Uganda.
• Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and MoMo / SMS payment notices.
• Provide warranty registration support and after-sales service at our Sixth Street centre.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access to accounts.
• Respond to customer service requests and dealer enquiries.
• Improve our catalogue, website, and logistics (in aggregated or anonymised form where possible).
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations in Uganda.

4. Legal bases

We process personal data where necessary to perform a contract with you (orders and delivery), where we have a legitimate interest (security, service improvement), where you have consented (marketing, where applicable), or where required by law.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

• Payment partners — such as MTN Mobile Money, to complete MoMo transactions.
• Logistics & delivery partners — to deliver orders within Kampala and to upcountry destinations.
• Technology providers — hosting, authentication, analytics, and security services that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• Authorities — where required by Ugandan law or to protect our rights, customers, or public safety.

6. Cookies & similar technologies

We use essential cookies for session management, authentication, and security (including verification widgets). You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent checkout or sign-in from working correctly.

7. Data retention & security

We retain account and order records for as long as needed to fulfil contracts, honour warranties (typically at least the 12-month warranty period plus a reasonable archive period), resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

8. Your choices & rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or ask us to restrict certain processing. 9. Children

The Store is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Store after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
